When/If Gore Runs What Will You Do?
Tue Jan 23, 2007 at 10:49:16 AM PDT
So many early candidates raises a lot of guessing and enthusiasm for a potential Gore run in '08.
I think it's a distinctly real possibility, and the fact that he is an unwilling candidate makes me want him as our Presidential nominee in '08 even more. He inspires me.
I like the Gore metamorphosis from 2000 to present. If I could I would have him in an mighty morphin action figure, but the manufacture of it would produce too large a footprint on the environment...
I Just Got Dumped
Sat Nov 04, 2006 at 01:15:34 AM PDT
There are so many more important diaries to read that I cannot recommend you read this one. Especially since it sounds like an entry for MySpace... but:
I Just Got Dumped. The hard and cruel kind.
My boyfriend and domestic partner of 5 years just came home from work and announced he's moving out and feels he needs to be on his own. Our anniversary was Halloween. I thought we were very committed and the type of people who would grow old together happily. I was really happy. Now my heart is probably breaking and it's a little hard to breathe. He is amazing, and I guess so am I? I thought he was the love of my life, but now I'll embark on a new journey?
He said he thought of it about two days ago and knew it was the right path. He didn't feel like he could talk to me about it because it isn't a logical thing that breaks down into words - a rut, a feeling of the wrong direction, a need for change. Yeah, I'm shocked and having a different strong emotion every 9 minutes. It's harder, as he lives here, while looking for a new apartment. Ultimately, like all things, it will be for the best.
My advice after the fold:
Cheney Looks Hot in a Striped Jumpsuit
Thu Nov 02, 2006 at 02:48:24 AM PDT
How long can they hold this off with the onset of a formal SEC investigation in the mix?
England, Nigeria, DOJ, French authorities and now the SEC are investigating criminal activity during Cheney's tenure at Halliburton for Nigerian oil bribes worth up to seven billion in contracts for Kellogg Brown and Root their subsidiary.
According to Evelyn Pringle of OpEdNews:
The US Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting a formal investigation into whether Halliburton made improper payments to government officials in Nigeria in connection with the construction and expansion by TSKJ of a natural gas liquefaction complex and facilities at Bonny Island in Rivers State, Nigeria...

GOTV: Ghost Army aka my haunting Grandma...
Tue Oct 31, 2006 at 02:54:44 PM PDT
Woooo. WOOOOOO. Oooooo.
GOP robocalls, door knocking strangers, and centralized micro targeting form letters are no match for our superior shadow style GOTV Army...
A long time ago when Karl Rove used to smite his debating foes in High School he showed up with mighty boxes of research cards. The targeted debaters would tremble from psychologically snafu'd nerves and doubt themselves and their superior abilities when faced with his massive research. The cards were blank. Even worse - the idea isn't original, and the GOP cause is twisted and supressive. Something very close, yet psychologically perverted, to this tactic may be happening today along with very real spooky voter supression?
Spooks ensue after the flip:
Cuddle Your Vote
Tue Oct 24, 2006 at 02:34:53 AM PDT
Say sweet nothings to it - love it, and squeeze it.
My GOTV duties are into their last frenzied fortnight; and, my off-peak time is scheduled to help out with keeping the vote satisfied. Like any good lover, I like to listen to the vote, intuit it's needs, oogle the vote as it walks away, let it know I appreciate it, and give it some nuturing when it's feeling insecure.
Votes have surprising strength, and with that an unnerving delicacy. They can be easily intimidated, rebuffed, purged, obfuscated, and slandered. Votes deserve better. Before a vote is relegated to the battered and abused shelter, or has to file a report, I would like to intercede for the vote proactively this year and forever because I care about it so much.

GOTV: All my locals
Fri Oct 20, 2006 at 06:36:54 PM PDT
So I kept thinking how I could get all those new voters in my local District 5 motivated to register for the election before this Monday, October 23rd deadline... I went to WVWV read the stats and activist materials, I combed the SF City, and CA State election websites. I looked into all the efforts underway already. There are great things underway I could join.
I remember being 18-25 years old and voting sporadically, if at all, and why I didn't - what my concerns were. It was lack of perceived time, other interests, lack of ease or exposure to rules and intimidation from the seemingly complicated voting process. I also remember that my focus was on other things then and politics were hard to access - or worse, BORING and impersonal for me yesteryear.
BREAKING: Iran Attack Closer Than Ever
Mon Oct 09, 2006 at 03:04:13 PM PDT
The worse things look for Republicans this Fall... the more "Wag the Strangelove" our foreign policy gets.
The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Eisenhower and its accompanying strike force of cruiser, destroyer and attack submarine slipped their moorings and headed off for the Persian Gulf region on Oct. 2, as I had predicted in a piece in The Nation magazine a few weeks back.
The Eisenhower strike force, according to my sources, is scheduled to arrive in the vicinity of Iran around October 21, at the same time as a second flotilla of minesweepers and other ships.

EXCEPT for PIGS: Foley 5+ Committed Federal Crimes!?
Sun Oct 08, 2006 at 03:16:45 AM PDT
In George Orwell's Original Animal Farm Constitution:
Law #7 States:
All Animals Are Created Equal but, the hastily cloven hoof scrawled Law #8 States:
Except for Pigs
It appears the pigs are into more than spoiled spinach these days... Their waste has also pervaded our ground water - basic need for survival... OR, How Foley and his Five+ should and can be prosecuted for Federal Crimes.
UPDATE WaPo: Kolbe (R-AZ) knew of sexually explicit mails since 2000.
UPDATE LATimes: Signifigant setup defense for Federal "Failure to Report Child Abuse" charges...
Hastert has said that he was not informed of it until recently, when sexually explicit instant messages were made public in the media. His senior aides said they learned last fall about the e-mails to the Louisiana boy and deputized a Republican lawmaker to confront Foley and secure a commitment to cut off contact.
Other sources, including Foley's former top aide, have said that Hastert's staff knew of Foley's conduct more than two years ago.

Ashcroft, Gonzalez, Jeb Bush and RNC KNEW!
Tue Oct 03, 2006 at 04:39:59 PM PDT
According to Wayne Madsen, as I heard on
Randi Rhodes today
(listen here) - these congressional GOP pages were preyed upon more eggregiously by more than Foley FOR YEARS.
As you may have already gathered, it was also covered up by more than the Foley 5...

It's Raining Felons

Big News Monday...
It was too helpful when I read this post on SF Gate that I had to crosspost the multiple potential felonious scandals of criminal GOP behavior in one diary.
Foley: Dirty Deeds Text
Sat Sep 30, 2006 at 06:05:10 PM PDT
Diary after diary of Foley and who knew what when - all horrible criminal acts; but, what did Foley actually type? As reported by
ABC News.
I hope you have your puke bucket handy...
Foley is Maf54 in the following "exchange:"
Maf54 (7:43:54 PM): nice
Maf54 (7:43:54 PM): youll be way hot then
Xxxxxxxxx (7:44:01 PM): haha...hopefully
Maf54 (7:44:22 PM): better be
Maf54 (7:46:01 PM): well I better let you go do oyur thing
Xxxxxxxxx (7:46:07 PM): oh ok
Xxxxxxxxx (7:46:11 PM): have fun campaigning
Xxxxxxxxx (7:46:17 PM): or however you spell it
Xxxxxxxxx (7:46:18 PM): lol
Xxxxxxxxx (7:46:25 PM): ill see ya in a couple of weeks
Maf54 (7:46:33 PM): did any girl give you a haand job this weekend
The page in question is reported as 16 years of age by ABC - legally a minor in Lousiana. By the exchange you see that Foley is in Pensacola, Florida where the legal consent age is also 18. This makes the offense a felony sex crime against a minor in both states. Ironically, Foley's own law made the electronic form of it as heinous as any other exchange would be.
Ground Zero: Rice Krispy
Thu Sep 28, 2006 at 07:04:11 PM PDT
and now for something completely torture different...
Many of us know about Bush's EPA appointee Christie Todd Whitman and the A-OK'd air that wasn't safe during the 9/11 rescue, recovery and clean-up efforts.
According to the leftist liberal NY Post (giggle)...
Have you heard the latest snap crackle pop on Rice (then NSA) being the head-cheese that approved it?
September 24, 2006 -- Condoleezza Rice's office gave final approval to the infamous Environmental Protection Agency press releases days after 9/11 claiming the air around Ground Zero was "safe to breathe," internal documents show.
CT-Sen: AFSCME dumps Joe Endorses Lamont w/ poots...
Tue Sep 19, 2006 at 02:52:27 PM PDT
Hooray! Slap me some polydactyly!

The Hartford-Courant reports today:
Major State Union Switches To Lamont AFSCME Council 4 Drops Lieberman, Citing Movement Toward Bush Policies
By MARK PAZNIOKAS, Courant Staff Writer One of the state's largest labor unions has dropped its endorsement of U.S. Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman and switched its support to Democratic primary winner Ned Lamont.
The switch by Council 4 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees gives Lamont his biggest boost from organized labor since the primary.
Sal Luciano, the executive director of Council 4, announced the endorsement Sunday, saying that the union wants to see a congressional delegation able to stand up to the Bush administration.

Video: 9/11 Press for Truth
Finally someone produced excellent 9/11 coverage. It turns out real change will not be televised. I strongly urge you to turn away from ABC/Disney and turn to this video on the anniversary of 9/11. By now ABC/Disney is blocked, downrated, and boycotted from my home so we may be able to free our energies in the pursuit of better media.
Knowledge is power.

Remote Smackdown: Downrate or Block ABC/Disney Programs
Fri Sep 08, 2006 at 01:44:16 PM PDT
A world of ABC armchair hurt was right at my rating fingertips and waiting for me in my remote...
They picked the wrong time in the ratings and new show launch calendar to mess with us!
I used to work for Fox back when they launched the Simpsons into the Cosby time slot. Afterwards, I worked for 3 large ad firms - two of them national top ten, as a broadcast media buyer.
This is a crucial ratings time for the networks as they are gauging their influence, market share and advertising rate buys in the run up to the new season programs. Those buys and rates are set in advance. The new rating scheme is measured regularly with Tivo, DVR and Comcast minute by minute data. It's a whole new playing field compared with the slow old Nielsen models.
Downrate all ABC programs (even if blocked) with your box. Let your fingers do the minute by minute gauged ratings slam. My box allows up to three "thumbs down." What's your setup?
Thumbs Down lets you give shows you don't like a negative rating. You can give a show up to three thumbs down. These ratings are used by the DVR to choose programs to record for TiVo Suggestions.

Churning Kurds: "The Other Iraq"
Sun Aug 20, 2006 at 06:21:04 PM PDT
Cheney's got his insane extra Iranian entanglement that he's flogged so hard for. He's officially a fire starter, flame fanner and NeoNutter - damn the populace of the entire world opinion "constituents," "allies" and "enemies" alike.
Iran is refusing to suspend their nuclear program Olmert pressure is rumored to: fight harder, expand the conflict, and step down by reports for differing reasons.
I saw this wider Iranian conflict coming, as I'm sure most all of you did too; but, I'm going to tell you how in a primer below because the implications are Propaganda Warmongering USA - MSM All The Way:
