Geraldine Ferraro NYT Op-Ed: Superdelegates should ignore voters

Geraldine Ferraro has written an op-ed for the New York Times

Geraldine Ferraro NYT Op-Ed
She is taking the position that superdelegates should ignore the wishes of the voters and the Michigan/Florida delegates should be seated.

All the millions of people who went and participated at the caucuses don't really matter because they do not represent 100% of the party turnout.

If that is the case, we could end up with a nominee who has been actively supported by, at most, 15 percent of registered Democrats. That’s hardly a grassroots mandate.

This woman is a party elder. How can she insist on superdelegates voting for Hillary and also insist on Michigan/Florida being seated at the same time? If she wants to insist on rules, she should apply them consistently.

Also, this shows exactly what to expect from the Hillary campaign. It might not be over even if Obama wins Ohio or Pennsylvania or Texas. Because according to the Hillary campaign, the Democratic primaries are not representative of the Democratic party, so of course the party insiders should select the nominee.
