Humor: Tomorrow's Late Night Talk Shows about Cheney

I thought it'd be interesting to guess what the late nite talk shows will be saying about Cheney shooting someone.

Here goes:

LENO:  You know, Vice President Dick Cheney, shot a man this weekend.  Did you hear about that?  I'm not kidding. (laughs)  It seems that Cheney was hunting quail on a farm and when some of the birds flew out, he turned and fired on the birds and shot a friend of his, with a shotgun.

When asked about the incident, Cheney replied that he's hunted quail before and that he's a good shot but unfortunately sometimes there's some collateral damage.  YIKES.

LETTERMEN:  Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man this weekend.  It appears he was aiming at some quail when a friend of his got in the way. In typical Cheney-like fashion that never stopped him before so he fired anyway.

CONAN O'BRIAN:  You know, whoever said that the Bush administration can't shoot straight should have been along with Dick Cheney this weekend. That's right. Dick Cheney would have put that one to sleep....for good.

What's up with that?  (smile)  It seems like there was a one day delay in the release of this story.  I mean it.  The guy was shot on Saturday evening and the news didn't come out until Sunday evening. Apparently, the white house was trying to work out an angle where Cheney could now say that he shot somebody in combat.

You guys could probably do better.  Give it a try :)
