My e-mail to Senate Judiciary Committee re domestic spying

Sen.
___,
A good theme to pursue at the upcomong hearings on domestic spying is to make the issue personal so the average American can relate to your line of questioning.
Some questions:
""Has'nt the US Government become something of a Peeping Tom?.... If two adults are talking romantically on the phone - having phone sex I think it's called - and one says, "Baby, you are tha bomb" - a common term in today's culture - does'nt that trigger an automatic wiretapping mechanism?""
"Is'nt it true you have the ability to spy on political and personal enemies of the president?"
"Don't you have the ability to spy on corporations to get insider information?"
"Since this power has been abused in the past, how can we be sure it's not being abused now?"
"If my cousin mentions Al Quaeda on the phone while just talking about current events, does'nt that conversation get swept up in an illegal wiretap?"
Mr. Senator, please show an aggressive, bold, creative line of questioning to put them on the defensive. Don't play right into their hands about"protecting Americans from terrorists."
And here's a good phrase to repeat over and over:(from poster,The Termite...not included in e-mail)
Bush, 2001: "Terrorists hate us for our freedoms."
Bush, 2005: "Americans must compromise our freedoms."
Thanks for voting no on cloture for Alito.
