He even killed a kitten!
Miles had become "very violent" since returning from Iraq, the UPD report said. He told officers that Miles hanged and then beat a kitten inside their apartment before displaying the cat on the flag pole in front of SFA's Military Science Building, the report said.
No snark here! Two Texas National Guard Soldiers, one of which had recently returned to Texas, had a pipe bomb, plans for larger explosives, and one of the two had used a small explosive to damage a Virgin Mary statue.
Carl Timmons, 22, A Texas National Guard Soldier who had spent a year in Iraq, was arrested on charges of possessing components of explosives, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon and arson. The Arson charge was for setting off a small bomb on a Virgin Mary Statue at a local Church.
I heard a blurb on this during the local nightly news and looked up the specifics from the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel
Timmons roommate Paul Miles, who had recently returned from Iraq, was arrested after police found a pipe bomb, bomb-making components and a drug-production operation in their apartment.
Timmons also told officers that Miles had spoken of "shooting kids at the high school and placing a bomb" there, the report said.... found plans for explosive devices downloaded from the Internet.
